Luisa Paz Canton is an Associate Attorney at the firm, where she is a member of the Talent Team. She specializes on employment-based immigration, with a particular emphasis on O-1 visas for individuals of extraordinary ability in the arts and business sectors, as well as P-1 and P-3 visas for professional athletes and entertainers. Luisa also has extensive experience with EB-1 extraordinary ability I-140 petitions.
Luisa earned her J.D. from St. John’s University School of Law in New York City, where she was honored with the Public Service Award in recognition of her commitment to public interest work. During law school, she served as a judicial extern for the Honorable Joseph A. Brandolino at the Superior Court of Los Angeles. She also interned with the United Nations Office of Drugs and Crime, where she aided the Ad Hoc Committee tasked with drafting a comprehensive international convention to combat the criminal use of information and communications technologies.
Before pursuing her legal career, Luisa obtained dual bachelor’s degrees in Political Science and Philosophy. She is admitted to practice law in the State of New York and is fluent in Spanish.
