Michael Shapiro possesses approximately 20 years of experience as an immigration attorney. He received his J.D. degree in 1994 from Fordham University Law School, where he was a Member of the Fordham International Law Journal. At Fordham, he received the prestigious Archibald R. Murray Award for Public Service and was on the Dean’s List. Michael interned with The Legal Aid Society in New York City. He has been a licensed attorney in good standing in New York since 1995.
Michael has prepared and advised on a broad array of nonimmigrant and immigrant petitions including E, H, J, L, O, P, R and TN visa petitions, as well as PERM, EB-1 and EB-2 NIW green card applications. Michael has managed complex cases for major national and international corporate clients, as well as for individual software developers, research scientists, athletes, graphic designers, marketers, journalists, musicians and other professionals.
In addition to his legal experience, Michael was a professional musician for many years.
