Associate Attorney, Wildes & Weinberg, P.C.
Raquel Wildes Genet is an Associate Attorney at Wildes & Weinberg, P.C., a premier immigration law firm headquartered in New York City that represents clients throughout the United States and around the world.
As a third-generation attorney, Raquel’s connection to the firm is deeply rooted in her family’s history. Her grandfather, Leon Wildes, founded the firm in 1960 and established its national reputation through groundbreaking immigration work, including his historic representation of John Lennon. Her father, Michael Wildes, serves as Managing Partner, continuing the tradition of advocacy and personal service upon which the firm was built. Raquel joins her brother, Joshua H. Wildes, in carrying forward the family’s legacy and commitment to immigration law.
Before joining Wildes & Weinberg, Raquel practiced at Milbank LLP and and Greenberg Traurig, LLP, where she advised individuals and families on sophisticated domestic and international private wealth matters. Her practice encompassed trust and estate planning and administration, income tax planning, philanthropic giving, and family business planning. This experience informs her thoughtful, detail-oriented approach to legal representation and her understanding of the complex personal and family considerations that often accompany significant legal matters.
Raquel earned her Juris Doctor, magna cum laude, from the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law, where she was elected to the Order of the Coif and served as both a Staff Editor and Notes Editor of the Cardozo Law Review. She also holds a Bachelor of Arts, cum laude, from Columbia University and a Master of Science from the Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism.
Admitted to practice law in New York and Florida, Raquel brings a distinctive combination of legal experience, international perspective, and personal understanding of the values that have guided Wildes & Weinberg for generations. She is committed to helping individuals and families navigate the complexities of immigration law with diligence, compassion, and personalized attention.
