Managing Partner Michael Wildes and Associate Attorney Josh Wildes are thrilled to congratulate our client, Norchad Omier, on officially signing an Exhibit 10 contract with the NBA’s Cleveland Cavaliers.
The Exhibit 10 contract, introduced by the NBA in 2017, is a one-year, non-guaranteed deal that provides players with a valuable opportunity to compete for a roster spot during training camp, the Summer League, or in the NBA G League. If waived, players on Exhibit 10 contracts can receive bonuses if they sign with the team’s G League affiliate and remain there for at least 60 days—making it a proven pathway to a long-term NBA career. Norchad, who is coming off of a great season with Baylor University, will look to take full advantage of this opportunity to make his mark at the professional level.
Omier, a standout during his collegiate career, leaves behind an impressive NCAA résumé. The former Arkansas State and University of Miami forward averaged nearly 16 points and 11 rebounds per game across his college career. Known for his tenacity, rebounding dominance, and consistent double-double production, Omier recorded 90 double-doubles, solidifying his reputation as one of the most reliable big men in the country.
Beyond the numbers, Norchad brings a relentless work ethic, high basketball IQ, and team-first mentality—all qualities that will serve him well as he embarks on this next chapter with the Cavaliers organization.
