Associate Attorney, Litigation and Gamily Groups
Jamin Enquist is an Associate Attorney in the Litigation and Family Groups. His practice spans a wide range of immigration matters, focusing primarily on removal defense, waivers, asylum, cancellation of removal, family-based petitions, naturalization, and more.
He began his immigration career in 2022 as a student attorney in the Asylum Clinic at Hofstra Law School, where he represented clients in both affirmative and defensive asylum cases and earned the school’s Excellence in Clinical Practice Award. In 2023, Jamin joined Youman, Madeo & Fasano, LLP as a law clerk and became an Associate Attorney shortly thereafter. In this high-volume litigation role, he represented detained and non-detained clients across the country, including in all stages of removal proceedings, appeals before the BIA, applications and interviews before USCIS, and check-ins with ICE. He was also a member of the firm’s federal appellate team, assisting with appeals before multiple federal circuit courts. His practice there also extended into New York State courts, with a focus on special immigrant juvenile cases in family court and warrant vacatur in criminal court.
Through his litigation experience, Jamin knows firsthand that immigration cases often carry high personal stakes. His practice is built on a commitment to creating the strongest possible record from the outset, not merely reacting to what a case brings. He is comfortable moving between courtrooms, agency interviews, and appellate briefing, providing clients with continuity at every stage of their case.
Jamin brings the same commitment to his life outside the office through community advocacy for immigrant rights and justice in West Manhattan.
He is admitted to practice in New York and is a member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA).
