Senior Attorney in the Litigation Group
Navjot “Nav” Khinda is a Senior Attorney in Wildes’ & Weinberg’s Litigation Group where she focuses primarily on complex litigation cases, removal defense, federal court matters, applications for asylum, waivers, and more.
Nav’s legal practice encompasses the full spectrum of United States immigration law, with an emphasis on cases involving complex procedural histories and novel legal claims. As a member of the litigation team, Nav’s practice focuses mainly on deportation defense and federal court litigation. She has extensive experience litigating cases in immigration courts across the country and before various government agencies, including USCIS, ICE, U.S. Embassies and Consulates, and many more. Nav has also successfully helped numerous individuals and families obtain family-based green cards, asylum, other forms of humanitarian relief, and citizenship in the United States, as well as waivers and long-term status for persons whose cases involve alleged fraud, past criminal convictions, and other complex factual or legal issues. She also has experience fighting cases before the Board of Immigration Appeals (BIA) ), as well as Federal District Courts across the country, where she has successfully challenged the detention of noncitizens under various constitutional grounds, including in petitions for Writ of Habeas Corpus. In addition, Nav advises individuals on the immigration consequences of criminal charges and convictions, and post-conviction relief.
Nav has many years of experience in immigration law, having worked at various prestigious immigration law firms, including Van Der Hout LLP, the Law Office of Robert B. Jobe and the Law Office of Andrew L. Friedman. She also previously worked as Criminal Defense Lawyer for the Office of the Public Defenders (12th Judicial Circuit, Florida).
Nav is licensed in Florida and Immigration Courts around the country. She is also licensed as an attorney in Canada, and is fluent in Punjabi.
