Victoria Marie Phillips joined Wildes & Weinberg, PC in 2021 and is admitted to practice law in the State of New York and immigration courts throughout the United States. She holds a B.A. in Political Science and Legal Studies from the University at Buffalo, where she graduated with magna cum laude honors. Victoria earned her J.D. from Brooklyn Law School, where she focused her studies on International Law, and where she was President of the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) and Brooklyn Law Immigration Society (BLIS). She was selected as an International Human Rights Fellow, Public Interest Fellow, Post-Graduate Fellow, and Gold Pro Bono Award Recipient for her achievements at Brooklyn Law School.

With immigration, refugee, and international human rights experience in the field both domestically and abroad, working for the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, and immigration law firms in New York City, Victoria has witnessed firsthand the complexities of the law and the vital need for a safe place to plant roots, enter the global workforce, and call home. She is a key member in our Family Team, where she handles matters related to adjustment of status, removal of conditions, acquisition of citizenship, and naturalization applications, amongst other important tasks, as well as our Business Immigration Team, where she focuses on employment-based visas, including H-1B, R-1, J-1, and E-3 visas, to name a few. Victoria also has experience in consular processing and deportation/removal defense, including Motions to Dismiss and Motions to Reopen, as well as Violence Against Women Act (VAWA) petitions, Special Immigration Juvenile (SIJ) applications, political asylum applications, and good faith marriage waivers. She often handles many of the firm’s complex responses to Notices of Intent to Deny (NOID), Requests for Evidence (RFE), and administrative appeals and motions.
