The EB-1 petition is the first and most critical step in securing green card status as an individual of extraordinary ability.
In an illustrious career, spanning more than 12 years, Dr. Carr has established himself as an individual of extraordinary ability in the integrative and complementary medical field and by virtue of his accomplishments has risen to the very top of his field of endeavor: obstetric acupuncture. He has published in some of the most prestigious journals in the field of acupuncture, obstetrics and midwifery and has had his work cited hundreds of times. He is Editor-in-Chief of Acupuncture in Medicine, the preeminent journal in his field. He has made numerous original contributions to the field including the creation of unique acupuncture courses to educated midwives, doctors, and acupuncturists about the use of acupuncture during pregnancy and birth. Overall his work has contributed vastly to the acceptance and success of acupuncture in western medical practices. Beginning July 2017, Dr. Carr will commence employment with the University of Vermont, where he will continue to conduct his groundbreaking research in obstetric acupuncture.
