USCIS has announced that as of November 22, 2011, the H-1B cap for Fiscal Year 2012 (October 1, 2011 through September 30, 2012) has been reached.
This means that they will not accept any new, cap-subject H-1B filings until Monday, April 2, 2012, for a start date of October 1, 2012.
If you have questions on possible alternatives to the H-1B, or methods of maintaining your status until the cap opens up again in April, please contact our office.
