Managing Partner Michael Wildes is pleased to announce that the firm has secured an O-1 visa on behalf of Catalina Monguillot Minetti, a talented graphic designer from Argentina.
In order to qualify for an O-1 visa, the petitioning individual must demonstrate that he/she possesses extraordinary ability in the sciences, arts, education, business, or athletics, or that he/she has a demonstrated record of extraordinary achievement in the motion picture or television industry and has been recognized nationally or internationally for those achievements. In the field of arts, the foreign national must show that they have risen to a level of distinction, meaning “a high level of achievement as evidenced by a degree of skill and recognition substantially above that ordinarily encountered to the extent that a person described as prominent is renowned, leading, or well-known in the field of arts”.
Ms. Monguillot, who has enjoyed a highly successful career as a graphic artist and art director, working for prominent advertising agencies and organizations in Argentina, was easily able to prove the required level of distinction.
