Best Immigration Lawyer, Attorneys in NYC, New York

a message from us to our past, present, and future clients and friends

The firm of Wildes & Weinberg has been working remotely since the beginning of COVID-19 to ensure that your immigration needs are timely met.

Attorney Tudor Neagu, who is part of our litigation team, came to Wildes & Weinberg with a wealth of experience and knowledge. He has practiced immigration law throughout the United States, but primarily in New York. He specializes in asylum cases, and has obtained numerous grants both in immigration court and at the asylum office for clients from China, Haiti, South America, Africa, and Eastern Europe.  Tudor has also successfully litigated cancellation of removal cases, waivers, adjustments, deferred action, habeas corpus petitions in district courts throughout the country, as well as the BIA appeals.

Tudor has this to say about his new working space:

Although my space was originally optimized for e-sports, I was able to convert it to a law office with the addition of a scanner, office phone, hole punch and a few other accouterments.  I initially spent much of my time preparing for a trial scheduled for May 27, but just after I submitted the pretrial brief, it was announced that the immigration court closures would be extended through June 12.  I am now spending my time addressing the concerns raised by many of our clients who are stuck in the United States after their flight was cancelled and their visa, or ESTA statuses are expiring.  We are seeking satisfactory departure for those clients, to ensure that their cancelled flights do not count as overstays of their status.  Additionally, although U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services are not scheduling in-person appointments, they are still accepting applications and issuing approvals, denials, and requests for evidence, and that is also taking a significant portion of my time.  Finally, I am also refining my installation art skills – for example, my computer monitor in this picture is displaying an example of the Droste effect.  We look forward to the safe and prudent reopening of all our immigration courts, our embassies and consulates abroad, and to a time when things resume to something resembling normal, but until then, we shall endure.

Sixty years since its inception, the firm of Wildes & Weinberg continues to serve a distinguished domestic and international clientele and covers all areas of U.S. immigration law including employment and investment based immigration, work permits, permanent residence for qualified individuals, family based immigration, asylum applications, and all temporary and permanent type visas.

Today, the firm’s multilingual staff is working remotely and is looking forward to returning to its four offices located in New York City, New York, Englewood, New Jersey, Miami, Florida, and by appointment in Los Angeles, California.
