Immigration Panel at Baruch College

Managing Partner Michael Wildes recently spoke at Baruch College in New York City to its diverse group of undergraduates about the Development, Relief and Education for Alien Minors Act (“DREAM Act”).

Michael was part of a distinguished panel that included Segundo Pantoja: Director of the Center for Ethnic Studies at the Borough of Manhattan Community College, Ted Henken: Associate Professor of Black and Hispanic Studies and Sociology at Baruch College, Natalia Aristizabal: an advocate of the DREAM Act and a part of Pan American International High School (PAIHS), and Daniela Alulema: a member of the NYS Youth Leadership Council.

The discussion, entitled “The DREAM Act…A Near Reality or Just a Dream?” included various positions on the DREAM Act, a piece of proposed federal legislation in the U.S. that would provide certain immigrant students the opportunity to earn conditional permanent residency.
