Partner Michael Wildes was a panelist at the third and final Governor’s Blue Ribbon Immigrant Policy Panel Public Hearing.  The dialogue confronted the problems of New Jersey’s immigrant population, including:

• Issues related to State and local government

• Social services (including health care, language access/cultural competency)

• Education (elementary, secondary and higher education)

• Work force, labor and economic development  

The Blue Ribbon Panel is charged with developing recommendations regarding how to more successfully integrate the rapidly growing immigrant population in New Jersey.  The Mayor of Englewood, New Jersey, Mr. Wildes is also the Chair, Immigration Committee, NJ League of Municipalities.

Mr. Wildes will also be moderating a telephonic hearing of the panel on issues relating to immigrant integration on the municipal level on July 31, 2008.  For further information in this regard, please click here.
