Cardozo School of Law colleagues Matthew Diller, Dean and Professor of Law (Left) and Peter L. Markowitz, Clinical Associate Professor of Law and Director of Cardozo’s Immigration Justice Clinic (Right).
Michael Wildes, having just completed his first semester as Adjunct Professor of Immigration Law at Cardozo’s prestigious institution, is pictured here graciously donating his professor’s salary back to the school and the Immigration Justice Clinic.
Michael Wildes happily accepted to begin teaching the Immigration Law course back in September. This valuable course, very popular among the Cardozo Law students, was inaugurated by Michael’s father, Leon Wildes. Leon Wildes, Founder and Senior Partner of the Wildes &Weinberg firm, began teaching the Immigration Law course 32 years ago. The highlight of the course is Leon Wildes’ fascinating presentation on his legendary successful representation of former Beatle John Lennon and his wife, Yoko Ono, in their high profile deportation proceedings initiated by the Nixon administration. Michael Wildes who himself graduated Cardozo Law School in 1989 (and met his wife Amy in his father’s class) looks forward to many more semesters at Cardozo School of Law, continuing in the tradition of his father and continuing to serve the Cardozo community.
