Michael Wildes Featured Columnist “WildesLaw on Immigration”: The Jewish Press

Wildes, is pleased to announce that he is now a featured columnist on U.S.
Immigration & Nationality Law for The Jewish Press.
The Jewish Press is the largest independent weekly Jewish
newspaper in the United States. Mr.
Wildes column is entitled “WildesLaw” and appears monthly.
With offices in New York City, NY, Englewood, NJ, and
Miami (Aventura, Florida) the firm of Wildes & Weinberg, continues to
maintain its stellar reputation in the field of U.S. Immigration &
Nationality Law. The firm was established by Leon Wildes, Michael’s dad, in
1960. The practice expanded steadily as
word of its outstanding achievements spread in the international community. One
of Mr. Leon Wildes’ best known accomplishments was his successful
representation of former Beatle John Lennon in his deportation proceedings, the
circumstances of which have inspired several films, documentaries, and books.
Over the past 50 years, the firm has concentrated its
practice in all aspects of U.S. Immigration & Nationality Law, servicing
the immigration needs of prominent American and International firms, banks,
industrial, fianancial and manufacturing conerns and law firms in connection
with the personnel needs of their foreign national employees. In addition, the
firm has a distinguished clientele and has done substantial immigration work
for performing artists, directors, writers, models, actors/actresses, athletes,
fine artists, art dealers, curators, and literary agents.
In addition to serving as the firm’s Managing Partner,
Michael Wildes also serves as immigration Counsel to Lincoln Center, and two
international corporate law firms. As former Federal Prosecutor with the United
States Attorney’s Office in Brooklyn (1989-1993), he has testified on Capitol
Hill in connection with anti-terrorism legislation and is internationally
renowned for his successful representation of distinguished individuals and
corporate clients. Having represented the United States government in
immigration proceedings, Mr. Wildes is a frequent participant on professional
panels and commentator on network television and radio with regard to corporate
immigration law, employer sanction work and compliance. In addition, Mr. Wildes is an Adjunct
Professor of Business Immigration Law at The Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law
and also served two terms as the Mayor of Englewood, New Jersey.
