On April 4, 2013 Managing Partner Michael Wildes, was a guest lecturer at The New School, NY, NY. His presentation was entitled: “U.S. Immigration and Nationality Law – A Guide For Graduating International Students”.
Continuing with his desire to inform the public, Managing Partner Michael Wildes, once again offered a free U.S. Immigration and Nationality Law seminar. The presentation – A guide For Graduating International Students was organized in connection with The New School’s International Student Services Advisor.
Mr. Wildes explained, to a captivated audience of nearly 30 bright individuals, the different options available to them as The New School’s international graduating class of 2013. Most of these individuals desire to put into practice the theoretical lessons learned in the classroom. Through the use of Power point, Mr. Wildes was able to demonstrate the employment authorization options these F-1 visa holders could possibly avail themselves of. Specifically, Mr. Wildes covered STEM, OPT, how to obtain a social security number, as well as a discussion on a variety of nonimmigrant visa options such as B-1/B-2, H-1B, J-1, L-1, TN, etc. Moreover, Mr. Wildes emphasized that it was of paramount importance that these individuals maintain proper immigration status at all times. A question and answer session proceeded the lecture.
