Wildes Wins for Woman Battling Breast Cancer.
Englewood Mayor Michael Wildes joined Mariann LaMonte-Shaban and her husband, Louis Shaban, on NBC’s The Today Show. Wildes, an immigration attorney, successfully fought to cut through the red tape at the INS to permit Mr. Shaban to stay in the United States and care for his dying wife. The Shabans and Wildes, who lost his mother to breast cancer, agreed to appear on The Today Show to underscore the need for compassion and awareness in fighting the disease.
