Rabbi Soloveichik is a leading Jewish thinker, theologian, and spiritual leader.  He attended Yeshiva University, obtained his Rabbinic ordination from RIETS of Yeshiva University and holds a Ph.D. from Princeton in Religion. Currently Senior Rabbi of Shearith Israel, the Spanish Portuguese Synagogue in Manhattan, he also serves as Director of the Straus Center for Torah and Western Thought at Yeshiva University.

Grandson of the famed Rabbi Aaron Soloveichik (brother of “the Rav”), Rabbi Meir exemplifies the synthesis of Torah wisdom and scholarship and intellectual vibrancy and worldliness. Since his days at as rabbinic intern at The Jewish Center and Assistant Rabbi at Kehilath Jeshurun, Rabbi Soloveichik  has been a friend and role model to our family and a great support to my brother Mark and his outreach work at MJE.  His blend of Torah and worldly wisdom is something we admire and an ideal which MJE promotes to the many participants at its classes and events.
