In honor of the 24th anniversary of the passing of Ruth Wildes, late wife of Wildes & Weinberg Senior Partner Leon Wildes, and mother of Managing Partner Michael Wildes, the community is invited to hear words of inspiration from Sivan Rahav Meir, an Israeli media personality, author, dynamic speaker and client of the firm. The event will be held on December 2, 2019 at Manhattan Jewish Experience (MJE), 131 west 86th Street, New York City. MJE, the co-sponsor of the event, is a non-profit organization founded in 1988 by Rabbi Mark Wildes, Leon Wildes’ son and Michael Wildes’ brother. 

Sivan Rahav Meir is an Israeli media personality, author and dynamic speaker. She served in the Galei Zahal army radio as the correspondent for welfare and absorption, legal affairs and religious affairs. In 2002, on completion of her military service, she was appointed religious affairs reporter for Channel 2 and later their legal affairs reporter. Besides her work for Israel TV News on Channel 2, Sivan writes a column for Yediot Aharonot newspaper, and hosts a weekly radio show on Galei Zahal (Army Radio). Among others, she has interviewed Prime Minister Yitzhak Rabin, Foreign Minister Shimon Peres and more recently, Sara Netanyahu.

Sivan Rahav Meir became religiously observant at the age of 18 and has since developed herself into a wonderful teacher of Torah. Her lectures on the weekly Torah portion are attended by hundreds and her live broadcast attracts thousands more listeners throughout the world. She was voted by Globes newspaper as the most popular female media personality in Israel and by the Jerusalem Post as one of the 50 most influential Jews in the world. As a proud religious Zionist, wife and mother of 5 children, Sivan Rachav Meir combines her religious life with her work as a successful TV reporter.
