Wildes & Weinberg Staff Volunteer Their Time and Expertise
Two of our most senior-level staff, attorney Rafael Barreto and paralegal Walter Gottschalk, recently volunteered at a clinic arranged to assist immigrants who had been victims of a man posing as an immigration lawyer.
The clinic, sponsored by the New York City Bar Association, was set up for former clients of Victor M. Espinal, who was recently arrested for allegedly posing as an immigration attorney.
Rafael and Walter, both native Spanish speakers, spent several hours meeting with former clients of Mr. Espinal, reviewing their situations and determining what options they may have.
Despite the current economic downturn, Wildes & Wildes maintains a strong commitment to volunteer work and pro bono projects.
