firm volunteers at cuny citizenship now!

Senior Litigator at Wildes & Weinberg Tom Vanasse volunteered his time for a program called “CUNYCitizenship Now” which was held at the John Jay College on Saturday, May 11, 2013.

As a service to the community, the legal team of Wildes & Weinberg often provides immigration lectures free of charge as well volunteering their time in an effort to increase the public understanding of our U.S. immigration laws and how individuals/firms remain in compliance.

Mr. Vanasse and our litigators have represented clients before Immigration Courts and USCIS in adjustment, naturalization, Stokes, and asylum interviews.  They have handled cases before the federal courts including petitions for review and Federal Mandamus actions. In recent time, Thomas and his team have successfully brought clients back to the United States after they were deported to Germany, Sweden, Pakistan, and Brazil. Our litigation group has also successfully stopped clients with criminal convictions from being deported by obtaining hardship waivers in Immigration Court.

Mr. Vanasse gladly volunteered his time to the all day event sponsored by the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA) and other nonprofit groups in assisting immigrants with their naturalization applications.
