Managing Partner Michael Wildes returned to China Central Television “CCTV” on July 25, 2013. Since 2009, CCTV, a national web-based broadcaster, has been providing users with a globalized, multilingual and multi-terminal public webcast service platform. This time, Mr. Wildes was asked to join Correspondent Jim Spellman and anchorman Mike Walter as they reported on the NSA’s massive data center in Utah. As a former federal prosecutor with the Eastern District of New York , Mr. Wildes engaged in discussion on the issue of government surveillance in the US and whether or not there is enough oversight. Moreover, Mr. Wildes discussed the potentiality of Ed Snowden, the U.S. citizen and former technical contractor for the US NSA and employee of the CIA who leaked details of several top-secret U.S. and British government mass surveillance programs to the press, applying for political asylum in Russia. At the time of the taping of this interview, Mr. Snowden was holed up in an international terminal in the Moscow airport. Mr. Wildes’ comments can be heard starting at 3:55 minutes.
