With the President’s new announcement on Sept. 19, 2025, TrumpCard.gov was updated, unveiling three new pathways to potentially be created for immigration and residency in the U.S.:
🔹 Gold Card – Requires a $1M “gift” (plus fees) after DHS vetting. Approved applicants get lawful permanent residence, in categories comparable to EB-1 or EB-2. Applicants must be eligible for lawful permanent resident status, admissible to the United States, and a visa must be available.
🔹 Corporate Gold Card – For companies sponsoring employees, with a $2M per-employee gift and additional fees.
🔹 Platinum Card (coming soon) – For $5M, applicants would be allowed to spend up to 270 days a year in the U.S. without being taxed on non-U.S. income.
👉 On paper, this looks like a streamlined alternative to EB-5, but there are big unanswered questions:
• What’s the legal authority for such a program—can this be done without Congress?
• How exactly will the “gifts” be used or overseen?
• Will it hold up against constitutional and tax law challenges?
• And what happens if applicants are denied after paying substantial fees?
Details matter, and right now, many aspects are “coming soon,” so the site raises many questions. That said, we’ll continue to track as more updates come to fruition.
Takeaway: This could reshape the investor-visa space—or it could stall out without legal footing. Either way, it’s a development worth watching closely.
