“From John Lennon to Today’s Immigration”

– Exclusive interview with Lennon’s immigration attorney Mr. Leon Wildes and his son attorney Mr. Michael Wildes

Mr. Leon Wildes represented Mr. John Lennon in the 1970s for his deportation ordered by the U.S. Government through INS. The battle lasted 5 years and Mr. Wildes finally won the case for Mr. Lennon and overturned the government’s deportation order against him. This case is considered as the one of earliest legal precedents in the U.S. immigration history that supports Obama Administration’s “Temporary Relief for Young Persons Without Immigration Status” today.

Mr. Leon Wildes served with HIAS in his early years of practice. In 1960 he established his own immigration law firm. It has developed to today’s Wildes and Weinberg, P.C. that consists more than 40 employees.

Mr. Michael Wildes is also an immigration attorney and the Managing Partner of the firm. He was a former Federal Prosecutor with the United States Attorney’s Office in Brooklyn He also served two terms as Mayor of Englewood, New Jersey. He is also an influential fundraiser for the Democratic Party. He is thought to be a Congressman someday. He is a frequent commentator and analyst for CNN, CNBC and Fox, etc. media network.

Wildes and Weinberg, P.S. is considered to be one of the most famous immigration law firms in the U.S. The firm has represented many “star” clients but its fee schedules are decided by each individual case.
