Leon Wildes

Senior Partner

Leon Wildes, the founder of the firm, serves as Senior Partner. Holding J.D. and LL.M. degrees from the New York University School of Law, he was an Adjunct Professor of Law at the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law in New York, where he taught immigration law for more than 30 years. He regularly publishes scholarly articles in the field and lectures widely to both immigration lawyers and lawyers in general practice, and has practiced in the field for fifty years. A recognized authority in his field, he served as National President of the American Immigration Lawyers Association and has testified before the United States Congress as an expert in immigration matters. Awarded the Edith Lowenstein Memorial Award for Outstanding Contributions to the field of Immigration Law, he is best known for his successful representation of former Beatle John Lennon and his wife Yoko Ono in deportation proceedings spanning a five year period. Steven L. Weinberg

Managing Partner

Steven L. Weinberg, Managing Partner, a graduate of Suffolk University School of Law, with the firm for over 30 years, has been a Partner since 1976. His contributions have added to the firm's reputation for incisive legal analysis and effective representation. Accomplished in immigration litigation, he has argued cases across the country and before the Board of Immigration Appeals.

Michael Wildes, is the firm’s managing partner of Wildes and Weinberg, P.C. He is an adjunct professor at the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law in New York and teaches Business Immigration Law and and a second Externship as part of its Field Clinic Faculty He is a former federal prosecutor with the United States Attorney’s Office in Brooklyn (1989-1993) and author of Safe Haven in America: Battles to Open the Golden Door (Foreword by Alan Dershowitz). Having represented the United States government in immigration proceedings, Michael Wildes is a frequent participant on professional panels and commentator on network television. He has also testified on Capitol Hill in connection with anti-terrorism legislation.

Mr. Wildes’ boutique law firm specializes exclusively in the practice of U.S. immigration and nationality law. It was established in 1960 by his father Leon Wildes, whose best known accomplishment was his successful representation of John Lennon in his widely publicized deportation proceedings. More than sixty years since its inception, the firm continues to serve a distinguished domestic and international clientele and covers all areas of U.S. immigration law. Some of Michael Wildes recent clients include First Lady Melania Trump, famed artists Sarah Brightman, Lionel Richie, Boy George, many of the former Miss Universes, as well as soccer icon Pele, master Chef Jean-Georges, and many other talented artists.

Michael Wildes is also the Mayor of Englewood, New Jersey, where he resides.
