THE FOUNDER

It began with one man.

In 1960, a young New York attorney named Leon Wildes opened a practice defending individuals against deportation. He would become the dean of American immigration law — National President of the American Immigration Lawyers Association, a beloved professor at Cardozo for over four decades, and the lawyer who took on the United States government to keep John Lennon in America.

Sixty-five years later, his firm spans six offices and forty professionals — but it is still built on the standard he set on the very first day: individualized attention to every client's problem.
